Questions

Have comes before the subject for questions.

For closed questions (yes and no answers) we often use ever:

HAVE	Subject	ever	Past Participle			Yes/No	Subject	HAVE
Have	I	ever	upset	you?	⇒	Yes,	you	have.
Have	you	ever	played	chess?	⇒	Yes,	I	have.
Has	he	ever	cooked	curry?	⇒	Yes,	he	has.
Has	she	ever	watched	a musical?	⇒	No,	she	hasn't.
Has	it	ever	snowed	here?	⇒	Yes,	it	has.
Have	we	ever	talked	about it?	⇒	Yes,	we	have.
Have	they	ever	walked	to school?	⇒	No,	they	haven't.

For open questions (many possible answers) we use a question word:

Question	HAVE	Subject	Past Participle
What	have	I	achieved?
Where	have	you	played?
What food	has	he	cooked?
What ballets	has	she	watched?
Where	has	it	flooded?
Who	have	we	helped?
Where	have	they	sailed?

Tip!
* We use ever for questions:
Have you ever climbed a mountain? ✔
* We do not use ever for answers. We use have.
I have ever climbed a mountain before. ✘
I have climbed a mountain before. ✔
