We usually use would like in restaurants or when offering or requesting something:

We can contract would to 'd for answers:

Tip!
*We usually use would like when offering or requesting something.
We do not usually use want. Would like is more polite:
I want an ice-cream, please.
I'd like an ice-cream, please.
